  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 33 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 tablespoons salted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 5 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup blackberry filling (reserved from filling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blackberry filling by cooking blackberries, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and warm water in a saucepan until thickened.
  2. Activate the yeast by dissolving it in warm water with sugar; let it sit for five minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix warmed milk, melted butter, Greek yogurt, egg, salt, and activated yeast. Gradually add flour until you form a soft dough; knead gently.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl until doubled in size (about an hour).
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, then layer on the blackberry filling before rolling tightly.
  6. Cut into equal pieces and let them rise again for about 30 minutes before baking at 350°F (175°C) until golden brown (about 25 minutes).
  7. While cooling slightly, prepare the cream cheese frosting and spread generously over warm rolls.
