  • 1 tbsp ground cumin

  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cardamom
  • 2 tsp kosher salt (1 tsp for sauce)
  • 3/4 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp za'atar spice
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix olive oil, grated garlic (6 cloves), turmeric, cumin, black pepper, paprika, cinnamon, cardamom, and kosher salt. Add chicken thighs and coat well. Marinate for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight.
  2. Prepare the Garlic White Sauce: In another bowl, combine yogurt, mayo, remaining grated garlic (4 cloves), za'atar spice, lemon juice, and kosher salt until smooth.
  3. Grill the Chicken: Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked and charred.
