Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (18- to 20-oz.) box chocolate brownie mix, plus ingredients called for on the box
  • 6 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 10 oz. kataifi, chopped into 1/2" pieces (about 5 cups)
  • 3 Tbsp. tahini
  • 1 1/2 cups pistachio cream, divided
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F and prepare a 9"x9" baking dish with cooking spray and parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the brownie mix according to package instructions and pour it into the prepared dish.
  3. Bake for about 35 to 40 minutes until a tester comes out with moist crumbs. Allow cooling.
  4. In a skillet over medium-low heat, melt butter and add the kataifi, cooking until golden brown (about 15 to 18 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in tahini and 1 1/4 cups of pistachio cream.
  5. Spread the kataifi mixture evenly over the cooled brownies.
  6. For ganache, pour hot heavy cream over chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl; let sit for two minutes then whisk until smooth.
  7. Pour ganache over the kataifi layer and drizzle remaining pistachio cream on top; swirl gently.
  8. Allow ganache to set before lifting brownies from the pan using parchment overhangs and cutting into squares.
