  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese (softened)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/8 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Pinch of kosher salt and ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Caramelize the Onions: In a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add thinly sliced onions and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 15–30 minutes until golden brown. Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant.
  2. Combine Dip Ingredients: In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayo, softened cream cheese, chives, parsley, smoked onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, white vinegar, lemon zest, salt, and pepper until smooth. Fold in the cooled caramelized onions.
