  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 23 garlic cloves (pressed)
  • 4 green onions (thinly sliced)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large Ziploc bag, combine sliced chicken with salt, pepper, and cornstarch. Seal the bag and shake until the chicken is well-coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken in a single layer until golden brown and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Add pressed garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, water (or stock), ginger, red pepper flakes, rice vinegar, and vegetable oil.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken in the pan and stir to coat. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Stir in sliced green onions and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving over cooked rice or quinoa.
