  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 1/3 cup whole milk (room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg (room temperature)
  • Tangzhong (from recipe above)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peach Filling: In a saucepan, combine cubed peaches, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water. Cook until bubbly and thickened.
  2. Make the Dough: Mix bread flour, sugar, instant yeast, salt, and Tangzhong in a bowl. Gradually add warm water, milk, cream, and egg; knead until soft.
  3. Roll Out & Fill: After the dough rises, roll it out into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over it; sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixture; layer on peach slices.
  4. Cut & Shape Rolls: Slice the filled dough into portions and place them in a greased baking dish. Let them rise again until puffy.
  5. Bake & Glaze: Bake until golden brown. Cool slightly then drizzle cream cheese glaze over warm rolls.
