  • 2 apples (Honeycrisp or Pink Lady)
  • 1/2 lemon (juiced)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. Core the apples and slice them into very thin half-moons.
  3. Microwave apple slices with lemon juice and water for 1–2 minutes to soften.
  4. Roll out puff pastry and cut into six strips.
  5. Layer apple slices along one edge of each strip, overlapping slightly.
  6. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over the apples.
  7. Fold the bottom half of the pastry up over the apples.
  8. Roll into a rose shape and place in the muffin tin.
  9. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
